Steven gets pretty sweaty in the car because he air conditioning can't get to him directly. So one of those days when he was majorly sweaty I just messed with his hair & this is what came out. I love it! :)
If only I could get his hair to look this way every day!

11 Months
Today Steven is 11 months old! I cannot believe that a month from today my little boy will be a whole year old! It seems like just yesterday we were in the hospital with him but at the same time it feels like I've known him forever. He's still not walking on his own but I just know he'll let go one day & be zooming. There are not a ton of new pictures but enjoy them anyway :)
If Steven were a girl I'd do this hair style like very day!
Somehow he has learned how to fold his arms already
He also likes to get food on his hands & then rub them all over his face, eyes, & hair
I so love this picture!

Steven & I
While Josh was in Missouri, his mom took me out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. So yummy! (Thanks, Rhonda!!) Josh's dad, Steve, watched Steven for me while we ate. They love each other! :)
For some reason Steven thinks it's fun to push himself backwards on the floor

Addendum
I just wanted to put a little post script to the previous entry. I should've put this in there before! Anyway, I just want to say to all my friends that are military wives that I so admire you guys! I know to you 2 weeks seems like nothing & I don't know how you do it when your husbands are gone much longer! I don't know if I could do it & I admire your courage and strength. So yeah, 2 weeks may seem like a long time to me, but I just want to say kudos to you gals who have to go through so much longer! Love you guys :)

Misery

Tomorrow morning (very, very early) Josh is flying to Missouri for two weeks. Why is he going, you ask? For work, of course! I never thought I'd say that... One of their current clients who has land in Utah recently bought land in Missouri. He wants some landscaping done & Josh is the man. It's a good thing for the company & great for us personally (can we say $10 EXTRA per hour for going?? Yes we can!) but it will still suck having him gone so long. I am not so happy about that but what are you going to do? The client is thinking about having other work done so everyone is hoping that once Josh gets out there the client will decide that their company should do the rest of the work. If that happens then Josh will probably be going back for about 2 months. That would be a lot of extra money but I'm not looking forward to that prospect very much. Everything's still up in the air though...I'd rather know one way or the other but I guess I just have to wait. So if anyone wants to come visit me, nows the time to do it! Sleepover anyone??

10 Months
I know this is a little late but we just barely got the internet set up at our new place. Here are some pictures of the latest happenings.
If I could just somehow get his hair to look like this & stay like this, life would be good ;)
This picture to me looks like he would be saying, "Oh, Mother, I didn't realize you were there. I was just reading this delightful book."
On Wednesday Josh's parents took us to dinner at Thaifoon (YUMMY) & Steven started to get a little restless. I thought I'd fed him enough but he constantly surprises me with how much he eats. Rhonda came up with the great idea to get him some cookies. He very much liked that idea :)
Steven stuffing his face with cookies
This is Steven's new happy face. I'm not sure where he came up with it but I think it's very cute :)
Surprise!
One day I came home while Josh was watching Steven & I found him asleep on the floor. Josh said he had been playing & then didn't hear anything for a while & he was like this. First time he's ever done that.
Steven will do this sometimes. I'm not sure if he's sleepy or just worn out from holding up all that hair ;)
I think pretty much every time someone sees Steven they comment on how long his hair is. It is very long and there's not much I can do with it but I still like it :) This is after we had gone to the pool & I made his hair all crazy.
I'm not sure where he learned this but whenever he's getting down from the couch or our bed he will turn around and go down backwards. Neither of us taught him that...
He loves my phone & if it's in eyesight & I don't let him play with it he will screech like a banshee. I don't let him see it anymore.

Happy Birthday, America!
Saturday was Independance Day & a pretty darn good one, too. In the morning I went down to Provo to see their Grand Parade with my siblings Marc & Dave plus all Dave's assorted in-laws. We had an awesome spot right near where we grew up as kids. Very big blast from the past! Afterwards we had a BBQ with lots of yummy food. Later that night we went to see the Riverton Fireworks which are always great. I took lots of pictures so enjoy!
I thought it was going to be hot so I brought my AWESOME purple umbrella...instead it rained.
Sibling love! Me, Marc, & Dave

I make the weirdest faces when I'm with my brother, Marc....
Woooooooo Missionaries!
I thought it was kind of weird that there was a human drop of blood....
What can I say? The Outlander Series has made me obsessed with all things Scottish. Did you know that Payson has not one but two pipe bands to its name? I thought that was kind of weird...maybe Payson was settled by Scottish people....
What we meant to do with the above picture
What did I say? AWESOME purple fan, huh?? ;)

Too bad Steven looks drugged or sleepy in this picture...hehe
More fireworks in this one but no Steven...
My nephew, Ethan, during the parade
This picture was actually supposed to be the next one but we didn't realize the camera was zoomed in this time...
I just thought this was a cool picture
In between parade & fireworks & waiting for food, Marc & I played Super Mario Brothers 3 on the Wii! It was awesome! We stunk, though...
Steven at his first fireworks show
Sweet as pie picture Marc took of some of the fireworks
Family shot at the fireworks
Steven & I enjoying the show
I really like this picture even though you can't see our faces
