2 months!

Yesterday Steven officially turned 2 months old. I cannot believe it has been that long since Steven was born. I know it doesn't sound that long, but to me it's just astounding.
He's about 10.5 lbs now (I'll find out the exact weight next week at his 2 month appointment). He sleeps through the night almost every night...in fact he'll sleep for about 8 hours, wake up, eat a bit, & then go back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. I am so lucky & so grateful that he is such a great baby! He's starting to smile at us more & the other day he actually LAUGHED for the first time! It was at absolutely nothing but it was so cute! I was able to get the last little bit on tape, which I am so grateful for. Yay for video cameras! I am so excited for the next stages to come & for him to become even more playful. :)
Mama didn't raise no fool! I wanted him to be able to take a bottle for babysitters & such but he quickly learned that bottle feeding is easier than breast feeding. He decided he prefered bottle feeding so here we are. Thank goodness I get lots of free samples of formula from work...
Just chillaxin
He's got his thinking pose on
Josh thinks this face is one of the funniest he's ever seen. He's been fed and is just falling asleep
Steven loves his daddy :)
He's got an "Alfalfa-esque" rooster tail on the back of his head
Super star!

Josh's birthday

In Josh's family, birthdays are not just celebrated for one day, they are extended over several days. This year on Josh's actual birthday (November 4th), the three of us went out to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. The next night, Josh's parents took us out for his birthday dinner. Josh & his parents really love sushi so we went to this new sushi bar they love. I don't like sushi (yes, I have tried it) but they had stuff for me as well. Plus, in two weeks, I get to choose my own restaurant to go to so I can't complain at all. This past Sunday (the 9th), we had his family dinner at his parent's house. Those are always very yummy! Steak, crab, lots of fruit, edamame...the most amazing chocolate cake for dessert! Aweeessomme!!

The night of his actual birthday. You can't really tell, but that's an excited look on his face. He was just seeing that I bought him the complete series of Seinfeld of DVD.
I think he was accusing me of something but I'm not sure what...

Checking out the DVDs

For his birthday, Josh asked his parents for money because there wasn't really one specific big thing he wanted. Yes, those are benjamins, and yes, they are real. Can you count them? ;)

Halloween

Josh & I didn't do much for Halloween. We never really have since we've been married. The past two years we haven't had many trick-or-treaters, if any at all. When Steven & my other kids get older I will definitely take them out. (and probably steal most of their candy ;) ) This year my brother & sister-in-law threw a Halloween/1st birthday party for their son the day before Halloween. We dressed up and went so that was pretty fun. Halloween night we stayed in & watched "The Happening". That movie is pretty disturbing. Definitely don't let your kids watch it!

Steven was a bear. That outfit is actually a really warm suit for the winter but it looks like a bear. Nice face, huh? ;)
Josh was a very bad surgeon & he killed me.

Don't you love Steven's face?

My oldest sister, Heather, sent this outfit to Steven for Halloween. I got it on Halloween day. Good timing! ;)

Denise's baby shower

On the 25th of October I went to my friend, Denise's, baby shower. I've known her since the 4th grade! It's so crazy that I still know even one friend from that long ago, and I actually still talk to 4 people from way back then! Awesome. Anyway, Kim was there as well as our other friend, MeChel. It was awesome to see them all and I'm so excited for Denise to have her baby! She doesn't know exactly what she's having yet, which is a bummer, but they think it might be a girl.

Scrapbooking

These are my first attempts at scrabooking. They're not great but I don't consider myself to be very creative so I'm pretty happy with them :) It's amazing how much time they take, though, and how hard it is to get much done with Steven around! He's worth it, though :)
This one is a little tribute to Steven's namesake: Josh's dad. I think Steven is already pretty close to being his favorite (if grandparents are allowed to have favorites)
I just wanted this one to be about when he was first born & his stats (date, time, weight, length)

Cindy's birthday dessert. It was yummy! (She shared with me :) )
